Sarsaparilla “The Modernist” is a refreshment recovered by Artur Martínez, who made it a reality next to a traditional company local Terrassa. It is an ancient drink (one of the first soft drinks in the story), that in Catalonia had its heyday during the modernist era, but achieved worldwide diffusion, especially in the US in the early century.

With the root of this shrub of the family of the Smilacáceas they obtained an extract (which used to be sold in herbalists, and pharmacies) that is mixed with sugar, honey, and carbonated water, resulting in a liquid with diuretic properties and toning.

It is a great opportunity to make a trip back in time and enjoy a product faithful to his principles, made with spring water from the Natural Park of Sant Llorenç del Munt and l’obac, no alcohol, no caffeine, and with natural ingredients (basically extract of the roots of this bush, and essential oils).
