Produced from olives from century-old olive trees of the variety “Becaruda” of the small town of Ullastrell. This olive harvesting early is a native of the comarca of the Baix Llobregat, Vallès Occidental, and owes its name to the characteristic peak shape (“Bec” in Catalan).

The family Backpack (Celler Can Backpack Molí) were of the few producers catalans who had kept growing this particular variety. Scarce trees, its low production and the special delicacy of treatment, had been virtually forgotten and the disappearance of this fruit of the ancients.

The few fruits harvested were mixed with olives arbequina in the development of oil in the cooperative city. It was in 2009 when Artur Martínez convinced Xavi Backpack (owner and winemaker) the potentiality of the Becaruda, and both began to produce the following year the first oil monovarietal de Catalunya.

According to natural systems and low performance in pursuit of extreme quality, L Oblit is today an oil of worship, the Chef of Terrassa used in its gastronomic restaurant as a sign of identity and distinction.

The just 500 bottles annual contain in its interior a fluid incredibly elegant and fruity, and today they are one of the greatest treasures gourmet del Vallés Occidental.
